DoE Solar Decathlon Design Challenge 2023 – Students are invited to join team!

Design a high-performance building of the future that addresses climate change and improves the quality of life! U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon Design Challenge

Compete with teams from across the globe to design a high-performance building with innovative, real-world solutions!

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon Design Challenge, comprising 10 contests, challenges student teams to design highly efficient, low-carbon buildings powered by renewable energy. Engineering students of all disciplines who have a strong interest in sustainable design of high-performance, zero-energy/low carbon, renewable energy-powered buildings are invited to join the WVU Solar Decathlon Design Team.

This is a great opportunity for students to work on a really exciting and multidisciplinary project (in collaboration with students from Italy – University of Rome “Tor Vergata”) and compete with other teams around the globe. Join the 2023 Design Challenge to imagine the residential and commercial buildings of the future!

For interested students, information sessions and Q&A about the competition will take place on Thursday, Sept. 1st 2022 at 10:30 am on zoom (found at this Zoom Link )

An additional information session will also be hosted on Friday Sept. 2nd 2022 at 2:00 pm on zoom (found at this Zoom Link)
