Flexible Electronics and Sustainable Technologies

The Flexible Electronics and Sustainable Technologies (FEST) is a research and education group within the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at West Virginia University (WVU).

The mission of FEST is to study and create new knowledge about the additive manufacturing of novel multifunctional materials and devices for energy, soft robotics, and biomedical applications. This is accomplished through ink system development and solution-based printing of soft/hard materials, fundamental processing-properties studies, and device characterization. Furthermore, in FEST, the next generation of undergraduate and graduate researchers is educated by promoting a collaborative culture and an entrepreneurial mindset. Our group seeks to develop organic approaches to further research.

We work with groups within the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, WVU, and elsewhere (U.S., Europe, Asia) in order to complement our expertise and advance our knowledge.
