Doctoral
Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering

Harrison is a 2025 graduate of WVU with a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering with undergraduate degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from WVU. Harrison began his FEST3D lab involvement as an undergraduate in 2015, where he assisted in research projects such as sol-gel fabrication of functional coatings, formulating metallic based inks for use in additive manufacturing, and fabrication of methane sensors using graphene flakes. During his PhD Harrison primarily focused on the synthesis and morphological/electrical characterization of liquid phase exfoliated graphene flakes. Throughout the course of his studies, Harrison participated in a number of multidisciplary projects and endeavors through collaboration with the WVU Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering as well as the WVU Department of Physics and Astronomy, where Harrison received training and instruction on ultrafast spectroscopic techniques (such as THz Spectroscopy) for optoelectrical characterization of nanomaterials.
